These are the terms for using Sceen, a movie and TV-show rating app (the “App”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account or using the App you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Sceen. We collect your birth year at signup and reject accounts under 13. If you sign up with a false birth year, we may delete your account when we find out.
If you are between 13 and the age of majority where you live, you confirm that you have permission from a parent or guardian.

We can remove content and suspend or ban accounts that break these rules.
When you delete content, the license ends except for backups that are overwritten on our normal schedule.
Sceen uses The Movie Database (TMDB) for movie and show metadata, posters, and search. The metadata, images, and ratings come from TMDB and its contributors — not from us. TMDB has its own terms of service, which apply to that content.
This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
Sceen offers AI-powered recommendations. These are generated by a third-party model (Groq) using prompts assembled from your taste profile. AI suggestions can be wrong, biased, or repeat the same titles. Treat them as suggestions, not facts.
We rate-limit AI sessions per user per day to keep the service available.
If we offer paid subscriptions, payment is handled by the App Store (Apple) or Play Store (Google). Their refund and renewal policies apply. Cancel a subscription through your App Store or Play Store account, not through us.
We may change pricing for new subscriptions. Existing subscribers will be notified before any change to a renewal price.
We can add features, change features, or shut features down. If we make a substantive change to these terms, we will bump the version date and ask you to re-accept on your next sign-in.
If you keep using the App after a change, that counts as accepting the new version.
You can stop using Sceen at any time and delete your account.
We can suspend or terminate your account if you break these terms, if we are required to by law, or if running the account creates an unreasonable risk for the App or other users. We will try to give you notice when we can.
The App is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not promise that the App will always be available, error-free, secure, or that recommendations will be accurate. To the extent allowed by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim arising from the App is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50, whichever is greater.
Some places do not allow these limits. In that case the limits apply only as far as the law allows.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California, unless local law gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.
